 The Grand Duchy of Geoff is a land recently liberated after fifteen years of war. Thanks to the allied nations of the Sheldomar, the guile of its ruler, Grand Duke Owen, and the never-say-die spirit of its people, Geoff has beaten back the Giant invasion once and for all. Now comes a time of rebuilding and renewal. The borders of Geoff have changed since the beginning of the Giant War, with the Cantrev of Arweth at first annexed by the Gran March and then gifted to the Knights of the Watch. As compensation, the Kingdom of Keoland gifted Geoff with a portion of lands known as the Downlands. Geoff lies in an area bordered by mountains or hills on three sides. To the north lies the Valley of Mage. To the west lay the Barrier Peaks and the Crystalmist Mountains. To the south are the Stark Mounds and Sterich. To the east, across the Javan river, lay the Gran March and Keoland. Geoff is inhabited by humans of mixed Flan descent who nonetheless seem to favor their wild Flan heritage above others. Also present are dwarves, gnomes, and elves who, though allied with Owen and the Griffon Throne, are not true subjects of the Brenin, as the Grand Duke is called. Now however, two new factions have also emerged in Geoff. Good and neutral giants roam the land hoping to settle or at least find peace. Evil giants seek to hold onto what they can through strength or intimidation. Also the Gyri deep connection to the land has allowed a strong Fey presence to be felt. No one knows how widespread this is, however. With the rebirth of the Greenman and a resurgence of the Old Faith, it appears Geoff may be taking a few steps back towards its roots as it also takes a few modern steps forward.
