![]() Greetings, travellers. The desciptions that follow assume that you are at least somewhat familiar with the way the RPGA Living Greyhawk campaign operates, and how to order and report modules for gameplay. If none of the preceeding sentence made any sense, we urge you to become more familiar with the RPGA and the Living Greyhawk campaign first. An excellent resource for this is the RPGA Newcomers page, which provides a basic overview of how the systems work, and how you can become a part of it.
Like Core modules, the gameplay of a regional module is scheduled through the RPGA online ordering databse, but unlike the others, the actual module is not delivered to you automatically. Instead, you will need to get up with the Geoff Triad, who will verify that the previously-mentioned conditions for running the module are satisfied; once this is the case, the Triad will then send you the module. When you set up the game day or convention through the RPGA's ordering system, it will provide you with a Tracking Code (usually the first three letters of the event's name, plus a series of numbers). You will need to provide this number when requesting the module(s) from the Triad (please see the Contact page for the address of where to send the request). For a listing of the Geoff regional modules available, please see our regional modules page.
In addition to the regional modules, the Geoff Triad also makes allowances for online roleplaying on our "Geoff Online" Yahoo! Group (see the links page for the address). Here, you can portray your character outside the venue of the modules, and interact with other personalities in and around the various locales of Geoff. The online group is not without its limitations, however. The primary means of interacting in the campaign remains the module format, and that is still the only way for a character to benefit or advance within the campaign. No favors, experience, gold, or any other such benefit can result from any online play. However, such roleplaying can still be immensely beneficial, as your character can develop friendships, enmities, prestige or infamy through his or her actions. Be warned, however, that the Geoff Triad keeps an eye on the board, and antisocial behavior can and will carry the same drawbacks for your character as they may in modules. Members of the online roleplaying group must agree to those terms before participating, but the rewards in terms of exceptional character development can be priceless. More information on online roleplaying, as well as a primer on what you can and can't do, will be coming shortly.
